Books with romantic subplot series#
The Ender’s Game series by Orson Scott Card (endorsed by blakesreckoning).

I'm less fond of a few, but here they all are! I've read a lot of these books and really liked them. If romance exists in these stories, it's not the focus. Here's a list of YA novels with little to no romance, taken from Tumblr. I am sure there are more, but my brain isn't working right now :c anyway she gets lost in the woods and there is something evil in there with her D: So it's about her lost in the woods, wishing that Gordon her basketball hero would save her.Ī Song of Ice and Fire (series) has one female main character who never develops romantic interests: Arya

There is another book called uuuum. The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon (haha, love in the title) but it's not about romantic love as far as I remember, it's about a young girl (9ish?) who idolizes Tom Gordon (the basketball player) she's just a massive fan, he's not a romantic interest to her from what I remember. I remember the main character/s in that were mostly female, and I absolutely loved it (which is rare for me as books with women as the main characters in almost always seem to contain romance, which I hate) it's also nothing like ''regular'' Dean Koontz at all (ie it doesn't really have lots of horror etc) it's more just, I don't know, I really liked it.

Pretty sure there was no romance in One Door Away From Heaven, by Dean Koontz. There are romantics who are not interested in reading books with romantic subplots too, wanting to avoid romance in novels is not just an aromantic thing :p
